Mobile Thermal Temperature Check Stations
Fever-Proof your School / Workplace / Jail / Convention Center / Event Venue
As the Covid-19 Pandemic has shown us, we as a society must do everything we can to keep each other safe when going to densely populated areas such as schools, convention centers, airports, hospitals, jails, museums, concerts, sporting events, movie theaters, etc.
In many of these places, it is more difficult to maintain social distancing measures because of the close quarters nature of many social gatherings. Thats where t°Scanir can help! Our mobile Temperature Check Stations use a thermal camera to screen each individual for an Elevated Body Temperature, ETB, above the 100.4°F threshold set by the CDC. Place one of our units at each check-in line / main entrance to quickly, efficiently, and safely screen people as they come in to your event space to prevent anyone with a fever from entering and infecting others.
The handheld IR temperature readers are reading an individual's skin temperature, which can vary greatly from their internal core temperature. Using these devices to detect a fever is extremely unreliable because our skin temperature can be affected by numerous environmental factors, including the air temperature, wind chill, air humidity, and even the time of day. Our Mobile Thermal Temperature Check Stations take their temperature from the tear duct, which is the second most accurate place on the exterior of the human body to evaluate one's core temperature.
Our product was born from the Covid-19 pandemic, but is not Covid-19 specific. In fact, many viral or bacterial infections provoke a fever. In most cases a fever is your immune system's natural response to a foreign agent, such as a virus or bacteria. Your body raises its temperature to create a less desirable environment for the foreign agent and the elevated temperature makes it harder for the virus/bacteria to replicate. Because of this, a fever is often one of the first signs that someone is sick with some sort of viral or bacterial infection, not just Covid-19.
